Participants of the Namaste on St. Luke Island

Our Exploration Cruises are more traditional, crewed charters aboard one of our cruising catamarans. There is a maximum of six passengers and three crew members. We sail from Victoria Point (KawThaung) to Mergui and return in 13 days, stopping over the weekend at the secluded capital of the region, Mergui.

We focus on the beautiful natural surroundings of the archipelago and points of historical significance in the Mergui region. Participants are expected to help with making observations for our scientific work.

Short lectures by the skipper will touch on interesting topics such as local history, people, the colonial era, geography, natural interests and other regional subjects.

Our cruises include excursions on shore and an extensive library will be available for the participants. Ample time available for relaxing, swimming and snorkeling.
Local and continental food with an Italian flavor. Breakfast buffet, light lunch, good dinner.

Accommodations are comfortable but basic. Do not expect a luxury cruise.

Contribution per person

13 day cruise

$1580  (US Dollars)

Price includes local taxes and full board except for Mergui and Victoria Point where food is available at restaurants.
