Kaw Thaung, formerly known as Victoria Point, can easily be reached by way of Ranong, Thailand. Getting to Ranong is not difficult. There are daily, morning flights from Bangkok to Ranong on Bangkok Airways and frequent air-conditioned buses from both Bangkok and Phuket, Thailand. Local boat transportation is available to take travelers across the Kra River into Myanmar. Meeting Point - Mondays 10 AM at the Ranong Princess Hotel This is a nice hotel with hot water spa and swimming pool for about $50 US for a double room. Less expensive rooms are available at the Asia Hotel (Approximately $10) or Ranong Gardens (Approximately $20 US) Current Weather Conditions and Forecast for Victoria Point  Myanmar Visa Requirements | * | It is recommended that travelers obtain Myanmar visa in their home country. | | * | Visas may be obtained in Bangkok in two days.
