| | There are those who might find objection to the Rally because it is thought to be in opposition to the promotion of environmental awareness and conservation. We firmly believe the two are not necessarily incompatible. A steering committee will be set up which will include one member of the organizing group, one member from the scientific community, one member from the press and one from a Tiger preservation group. One of the primary functions of the Steering Committee will be to maintain the difficult balance between motor sport and conservation. email us: tigertrail@marinasia.com | | Publicity and Sponsorship | | | | Coverage from the local and International Press, especially Off-Road Vehicle and Nature magazines will be sought after and encouraged. We are also seeking support from corporate sponsors. The most desired sponsors would be those which have a Tiger or other wild cat as their symbol. Some of these are very prominent in the auto industry and in the fuel and lubricants industry. | | | | Links | | | | |
| There will be a participation fee of US $2000 per vehicle and driver, plus $300 for each passenger. The fee will not include fuel, food, spare parts and lubricants unless we are fortunate enough to find a will sponsor for these items. We hope that first-time participants will recognize the worthiness of this cause and will be able to assist with fund raising for the Rally and for the Tiger. Funds collected in excess of the costs of organization will go to the Tiger Trail Fund. The Tiger Trail fund will be created specifically for protection of the Tiger. |
